The concert in Bedford Corn Exchange on Saturday had a lovely atmosphere. The Rossini is one of the best 2nd rate oratorios and I mean that in a really positive way. It’s so dramatic it’s practically a mini opera. I think half the reason there was such a lovely feel to the evening was that father and daughter were the tenor and soprano soloists; Bonaventura Bottone and his daughter Rebecca.
