Happy Danes
The film started shooting this week so no more breakfasts at Mr Hoffmans house. (Sorry, had to drop that one in.)
The Dame who has now been cast in the film is Dame Gwyneth Jones – stunning singer and stunningly beautiful too. I found myself staring at her face close up, she is double my age and has skin twice as young! She has been living in Switzerland so long that she has a very strange welsh/swiss accent now.
James has been in Denmark all this week conducting so I’ve been holding the fort here. Apparently the Danes are the happiest nation. Not sure how you measure that kind of thing, I know David Cameron attempted it with our nation. One of the guys in the orchestra told James he thought they were happier due to their lower expectations…
I have some singing concerts coming up again starting with Elijah (I’ve added the details to ‘current projects’), so I’ve really got to find the time to fit in a bit more singing practice than I have managed of late. It is made all the more difficult by the fact that Arthur ‘joins in’ on all the high notes. I’ve yet to work out whether it is pleasure or pain.

Interesting response from the Dane… he probably has point. Hope you survive “holding the fort” . More concerts Yippee!

I read the Danes pay very high taxes, but they are ploughed back into the communities, thus it leads to a happier lifestyle.
Our chancellor wants to reduce taxes for the rich – which only makes them happier.
One good thing though, James won’t be drinking too much alcohol in Denmark, the prices will keep him sober.

I see the makings of a big political debate here
Let’s stick to Elijah – *runs off to dig out her 30-year old score to refresh her memory*

Love the idea of Arthur joining in with your singing practice! Maybe a future career as a karaoke singer? Or perhaps the English replacement for Pavarotti? Good luck with your rehearsals, and then concerts.
