Legoland and celebrity faux pas
It doesn’t matter whether you are into opera, pop, country or Gregorian chant for that matter, there is something very pleasing about hearing a naturally good voice. Some people make it sound easy and some people make it sound hard. Joe McElderry is just a very natural, easy singer. We mastered his record today and it’s now been sent off to be manufactured for release on 22nd August – nothing more we can do, time to cross fingers.
Tomorrow is our 1st day off in 3 weeks, which means a family trip to Legoland. Neither of us are particularly into rollercoasters but we have a 9 yr old who is, coupled with a fair dose of parental guilt about being so busy during the 1st week of the holidays!
We are meeting Dustin Hoffman at the end of the week about a new film he is directing. James once bumped into him in the bar at ENO when he worked there (at ENO not the bar) and startled the poor man by saying “I hope you are enjoying the show Mr Hoffman”. He claims it was because he recognised him, he therefore presumed he knew him, and it would only be polite to speak to him. I’m guessing Mr Hoffman won’t remember this earlier encounter. James hopes not anyway.

A day off in 3 weeks! I just can’t imagine managing to go 3 weeks without a day off. I did it once (well, 20 days), but never again. I really hope that the time you have together tomorrow is good and you all have a great time – even with the roller coasters! Personally, I LOVE them
Have fun!

I wouldn’t go on a roller coaster if my life depended on it. wearing 2 pairs of socks makes me pass out.
Before I retired I used to get a day off here and there but now well…..I never seem to stop. My whole week is managed by someone else. Sob!
