Toy Story 3

One of the advantages of having young children is they provide you with the perfect excuse to go and see films you might otherwise be embarrassed to be seen at. This leads me nicely onto a review in the Times for Toy Story 3 which I read. It said something along the lines of:

It’s just a story about some toys. But what a story, and what toys!

That was enough for me, I decided Anna deserved a trip to the cinema, what a kind mother. As I’m sure you’ve read/heard/seen, it was a really lovely film on so many levels. We cried and we laughed.  Anna really enjoyed it too. So for those of you who haven’t seen it yet, grab yourself a child and visit your local cinema. Some friendly advice; it might be worth checking with the parents of the child first before you make that grab…

I am a big kid myself…so just might be brave and go alone anyway :) Most children are chained to the front fence these days for safe keeping :) …makes it harder to borrow them !

Oh Boy! I have seen this film and it is absolutely brilliant (and a bit scary in places.) I took my niece’s little boy, Harry who is just 3 years old. (I suppose that makes me his Grand Uncle…Gulp!) It was his third trip to see this film and my first.

When we went down to Gower recently, we visited the Heritage Centre and there was a brilliant artist who could paint all the cartoony characters including Disney and the toys from Toy Story. there was one particular painting of Woody and Buzz Lightyear together already framed and on the wall with a price tag of £190.00 I got it for the princely sum of £20.00, why? Because the frame was slightly bowed. To see the bow, you had to stand in a certain light,on one leg with a full moon which had to be blue and it only happened on a Wednesday.
Not only did Tony do the knock down price he painted some characters on a postcard and sent Harry a personal message. And because I didn’t have enough cash on me, he delivered the painting in person that evening to our caravan on his way home. Naturally Harry loved it and it now has pride of place on his bedroom wall.
Toy Story??? Well, I would go and see it again if a certain little chap insisted. :) :) :)

What a kind, considerate and caring mother you are, Juliette! Unfortunately for me my grandchildren live two hundred miles away, making it difficult to borrow them for a trip to the cinema, I’ll just have to wait until it comes on TV!!!

Watched it on 3-d last week – a great film. My wife and her friend were crying at the end. I admit I felt a small tear.
