Bublé crossed with Shirley Bassey
Not sure whether I have mentioned Gemma Sampson yet. If you follow X Factor (don’t worry, your secret is safe with me) she took part last year with the group, Misfitz (singing our version of the Britney Spears song, Toxic). Anyway, she is currently on a development deal with Decca and we are recording a couple of tracks for her which we were supposed to be finishing this week. She is a great singer, a kind of female Bublé crossed with Shirley Bassey and blessed with the looks of Halle Berry. (I know, life isn’t fair, eh.) Unfortunately though, she doesn’t have everything – she has lost her voice. We recorded all the backing though and put the most amazing trumpeter on Stray Cat Strut. He sounds like Kenny Baker, brilliant, fat and squealy. Can’t wait to put Gemma on next week now.
Boys saw the consultant at Kings who is monitoring their development on Tuesday and he was generally really pleased with their progress. I can’t believe they’ ll be a year old on Monday. We got out all the old photos from the day they were born and it really is incredible to see how they have come on. James even found some videos he had taken when they were just a few hours old as I wasn’t well enough initially to be wheeled up to ITU. Of course, it brought it all back and I blubbed like a baby to see them now.

Gemma sounds very interesting…. it will be great to hear her sing. It is just amazing that a year has flown by since the arrival of your lovely boys. Very happy to hear they are making progress

amazing how the time just disappears! My “baby” was 23 yesterday
I was listening to some recordings we have of her singing Doris Day when she was just 3…hilarious! Hope you all have a great day tomorrow for the boys’ first birthday 
A cross between Buble and Bassey sounds very interesting! was Misfitz the group that was “put together” at the auditions…maybe I’m mixing them up with another group. Anyway will listen out for her
