I don’t mind you asking at all. It was actually the TV producers. As it was they thought it was too long for the slot in the show, but I got the impression that Meat felt it shouldn’t be cut anymore!

If you don’t mind my asking, did you and/or Meat Loaf choose to perform the shortened version of the song or did they make you do it that way for the show? The full-length version would have been so much more awesome! Your duet was quite a change from the other versions I’ve heard.
Interesting that you say you couldn’t really hear yourself at rehearsals. In the actual performance, those of us watching at home could hear you better then I think you realised: you don’t have to hold your microphone so close! Your volume was overpowering Meat a bit at times, which is something most singers who are used to always being amplified can’t even imagine being able to do.

Thanks for part two Juliette How will James manage with a headset over burnt ears!
The duet has certainly raised a lot of interest…all good fun, as you say.
