Up in the air

We went to see Up in the Air at the cinema yesterday. I really enjoyed it and it was great to have a night out. Personally I am not a popcorn girl at the the pictures, for me its Revels every time. The  highs and lows you experience whilst eating a packet of Revels in the dark can be matched by few films.

Oh joy of joys to find yourself chewing on a malteser but what misery to bite into a wrist-slitting raisin/coffee cream. I still can’t tell the difference between a coffee cream and an orange cream without taking a bite. Hence James’ annoyance at repeatedly getting half eaten sweets.

Tomorrow we have Julian Ovenden in the studio. He is the only actor dubbing himself for the film, Bet on Love as he initially trained as an operatic tenor. He has just finished a run with Jane Horrocks on Annie Get Your Gun which is quite a coincidence as we have just finished editing a track with Jane for a new Gracie Fields CD. We have added her voice onto an original Gracie track so she appears to duet with her. The wonders of the recording studio.

Popcorn… I agree yuk! Revels do have that hidden appeal I guess as you never know whats coming next ….BUT, Minstrels have to win every time for me. A crunchy chocolate hit every time!…one bag is not enough:). Pity they do not come in “rustle” proof packets though.
Now we know where your chocolaty voice comes from Juliette! :)

I very seldom eat chocolate and when I do it has to be Mars Bars and the bigger the better. I am really a crisps man and could never say no to a packet of Smiths (plain or cheese and Onion… and you can keep the other flavours.)

So all in all, when I go to the cinema I can’t really take crisps can I? The Mars Bars make up for it though.:)

Love the blog! and can’t wait to see bet on love. I am a great Julian Ovenden fan and thought he was terrific in Annie Get Your Gun – but what I really loved was Foyle’s war…..

I couldn’t get the salford prom to play – it does have sound attached, doesn’t it? must be my rubbish system…
